Licensing can be a great part of a profitable business revenue stream. Companies with brand awareness or product value in the fields of fashion, footwear, sportswear or accessories often choose to license either within a new product category, a sub-brand or a different geographical territory in retail or wholesale. This can for instance be as a result of investigating how to export, how to increase revenues or how to activate brand extensions that are outside of the companies' own core competencies.
By initiating a Standard Licensing Review you can start looking seriously at how the licensing model might play a (bigger or better) part in achieving an increase in profits or business growth.
The goal of this review is to give you a comprehensive overview of your current position, strengths and opportunities along with recommendations on what your next steps might be.
Our mentors look at your business in its function as a (potential) licensor and what your brand or products mean to a licensee. They are experienced, know how to license a product or brand image and how licensees can benefit from following branding guidelines. Due to our experience in the fast moving fashion industry we can bring a practical view taking into account your current sales network, distributors, ethical standards, abilities and licensing services.
The review will take place over three working days at your premises. Three working days after the review you will receive your document which outlines our assessment and our recommendations on next steps towards achieving opportunities within licensing.
During the review we will need to access people within the following area's of your company (time required with each area is appropriate to the structure of your business):
- Brand Management
- Product Management
- Sales Management
- Marketing Management
- International Offices (if applicable)
- Overview of current licensees or distributors
- Finance
- Your current Licensing Agency or Management (if applicable)
Who is this service for?
This service is aimed at smaller and medium sized businesses that operate nationally or internationally within the fields of clothing / apparel / fashion / sports / footwear / accessories and the product groups leading into or coming out of associated product categories. We are happy to provide the same service to businesses that are looking to license properties to any of these product categories.
Once we have processed your order you will be contacted via telephone to discuss pre-project details and to agree which week / days will be the best for our mentor(s) to perform the review for you.
The cost of this package includes three days on site of one of our experienced mentors as well as the document with our overview and recommendations. It does not include travel expenses and subsistence outside of London.
We work internationally. Please note that some countries attract a surcharge due to the travel time or complexity of travel required. Please choose the appropriate option for the correct travel location.
